Welcome to
The Mutimura Foundation
The Mutimura Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to cater for the betterment and
common-benefit of the general public.

The Foundation's Legacy

The Mutimura Foundation bears its name in loving memory of the late Mr. Dominique Mutimura who was killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. His love and passion for education and learning left an everlasting impact and legacy on his surviving family. Therefore, in preserving his legacy and striving for overall positive societal betterment, his surviving son, Mr. Parfait Mutimura, founded the Mutimura Foundation in order to, not only give back to his community in Rwanda, but also pay it forward, having himself benefited from philanthropic actions during his early formative upbringing in Rwanda.

Programs

Promotion of Financial Literacy
In this program, the Foundation promotes learning and empowerment by providing written general education materials in financial literacy, and coaching catered to the youth, older adults, community centers, and public schools in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Provision of Academic Scholarships
In this program, the Foundation provides academic scholarships to select students solely based on academic performance. Our intended beneficiaries are those students who have demonstrated academic gifts early on but can use additional means to further their education. We especially support those gifted students who are enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.

Support of ESG Initiatives
The Foundation also caters for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives by providing financial grants, and research funding, sensitization, advocacy, and mentor-ship to university students or postgraduate researchers catering for such causes for the overall betterment of society. Additionally, we also align our support with other government-led social programs in healthcare and education.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower our beneficiaries by providing them with the resources they need to achieve their dreams. We are committed to bridging the gaps by providing scholarships to students, research grants to researchers, and working alongside other partners to promote the overall societal betterment. By partnering with educators, families, community leaders, other charitable organizations, and government partners, we aim to create opportunities that inspire personal growth, economic advancement, and social change. Together, we envision a world where education and societal betterment actions are transformative forces for a future we want.
